Rachel was born on 3rd September 1971,between midnight to 0059. Her birth chart is as follows:
Year Pillar: Metal Pig (Water)
Month Pillar: Fire Monkey (Metal)
Day Pillar: Metal Rabbit (Wood)
Hour Pillar: Earth Rat (Water)
Rachel was born on a Metal day in a Metal month, her personal element is considered strong therefore her favorable elements are those which weaken Metal. In this case, Fire, Wood and Water are her favorable elements while Metal and Earth are unfavorable to her.
2009 was a double Earth year which was unfavorable to Rachel, she lost her job that year. Before we proceed to the area of romance, let's see if Rachel's luck cycle will improve these two years. 2011 is Metal Rabbit year, the Metal is Yin Metal, which combines with the Yang Fire in her Month Pillar to form Water. Rabbit represents Wood. Both Water and Wood are favorable to her, therefore 2011 is a good year for Rachel.
How about 2012? 2012 is the Water Dragon year. Although Dragon is Earth, which is supposed to be unfavorable to her, however, Dragon combines with Monkey (Month Pillar) and Rat (Hour Pillar) to form Water. 2012 is a year full of the Water element for Rachel. Now, let's come to the area of romance. Rachel did mention that she had been through many relationships, but none lasted. From her birth chart, since she was born on a Metal day, Fire represents her Husband element. There is only one Fire element in her birth chart, how did she manage to go through so many relationships?
First of all, we can see that the Fire element in her chart is very weak, as it combines with both Metal elements on its left and right to form Water. The single weak Fire element is as good as non-existent. This signifies her husband being snatched away by a competitor in love. But if it is the case, where did the many relationships come from?
Looking closely at her chart, we can see several combinations. Firstly, Pig and Rabbit combine to form Wood. Rat and Monkey combine to form Water. The other two combinations are among the two Metal elements and the lone Fire element. The last is a hidden combination between Monkey (Month Pillar) and Rabbit (Day Pillar), which adds up to five combinations in total.
The reason for so many relationships is because of the many combinations. As long as we see many combinations in a person's birth chart, we can conclude that he or she is very sociable, and that it signifies plenty of romantic relationships or encounters.
Although Rachel had many boyfriends, none of her relationships lasted because her Husband element, Fire is very weak. Besides being weak, the lone Fire is being surrounded by very strong Water. This is why Rachel is unable to settle down with the right man.
From 1993 to 2002, Rachel went through the Earth Pig pillar. Earth weakens the effect of the strong Water in her chart, while Pig combines with Rabbit in her chart to form Wood, which in turn strengthens Fire. During those ten years, men pursued Rachel like bees went after honey. She had all sorts of boyfriends, tall ones, short ones, rich ones, poor ones, handsome ones and ugly one, but no ended up with none.

Does Having All Four Romance Stars In Your Chart Mean Favorable Romance Luck?
One sunny afternoon, Jeannie came to consult me about her romance luck. She said that she was almost 30,but still single. She wondered if there is anything she can do to improve her romance luck.
Jeannie was born on 23rd March 1981,between 11am to 1pm.Her four pillars are as follows:
Year Pillar: Metal Rooster (Metal)
Month Pillar: Metal Rabbit (Wood)
Day Pillar: Metal Rat (Water)
Hour Pillar: Water Horse (Fire)
At a glance, all four romance stars are present in her chart. Let me explain, in Chinese Astrology, Rooster, Rabbit, Rat and Horse represent the four romance stars. Looking at her chart, all four romance stars are present. So what is happening? Why is she still single?
Let's start from her Husband element first. Since she was born on a Metal day, Fire represents her husband element. The presence and strength of the husband element determines whether a woman is likely to get married.
The effect of the husband element on the day element determines whether she will have a great marriage. If the husband element is strong but unfavorable, she will still get married, but her husband will give her problems. The best scenario is to have a strong husband element which is favorable to you. The same applies to men. But I will go into detail on that topic in another article.
Back to our main topic. Let's look at Jeannie's husband element. As you can see, Fire is present at the Hour Pillar, but unfortunately, Fire is weakened by the two Water and one Metal surrounding it. Therefore, we can conclude that her husband element is very weak.
But all is not lost yet. We still have not gone through her luck pillars. If her luck pillars has any element which strengthens her husband element, she still stands chance of getting into a relationship. Let's look at her luck pillars...
1985-1994 Water Dragon (Earth)
1995-2004 Water Snake (Fire)
2005-2014 Wood Horse (Fire)
2015-2024 Wood Sheep (Earth)
2025-2034 Fire Monkey (Metal)
Can we find any Fire? Yes, from 1995-2004,the Water Snake pillar has some Fire. But, because Snake combines with Rooster (Year Pillar) to form Metal, the Fire becomes Metal. There may be romance, but her potential lover was taken away by someone else.
How about 2005-2014?Since Horse also represents Fire, will she find romance in this pillar? Unfortunately, no again. The presence of Rat (Day Pillar) spoils it all, as Horse clashes with Rat. Now, this is really terrible. Will she ever find romance?
Hey wait! How about the Fire Monkey pillar? There's Fire present. Will she stand a chance? Sadly, no again. This time, she is sabotaged by the two Metals in her year and month pillar. Why is that so? You see, the two Metals in her year and month pillar are Yin Metal. The Fire in the luck pillar is Yang Fire. Yin Metal and Yang Fire combines to form Water, if Water is present in her chart.
In this case, the Water comes from her Day Pillar. This allows the combination to take place, as a result, the Fire becomes Water instead. Now, this is really bad. So does it mean that Jeannie totally has no chance of finding romance at all?
There is still a little hope. We can still look at the yearly pillars. If we can find a favorable year, she can still have a favorable relationship for a year. So which year is it?2027.2027 is the best year for romance for Jeannie. Let me explain why...
2027 is the Fire Sheep year. Although the Yin Fire combines with the Yang Water in her Hour Pillar to form Wood, there is still Fire present. Reason is because Fire is present in the year element and her Hour Pillar, Horse combines with Sheep to form Fire. In 2027,Fire is at its strongest as there are no disturbances from other pillars and elements.Therefore,2027 is her year for romance.
Now, can Jeannie do anything to enhance her romance luck right now? The answer is yes. Since the problem lies mainly in the lack of Fire, she can take steps in her daily life to increase the effect of the Fire element.
She can increase the effect of the Fire element by wearing more Red, Purple or Orange clothing. In terms of food, Jeannie should go for hot and spicy food. Curry mutton will be the best choice. For drinks, coffee, strawberry juice or anything Red in color will be beneficial. In terms of direction, South represents Fire. She should try to look for Mr. Right in the Southern part of her town or country.
For daily activities, I will recommend spending more time in front of the computer, watching television or driving, as all these activities help to increase the effect of the Fire element. In terms of places to visit, Jeannie visit lighting shops, electrical appliances shops as well as spending more time in the sun.
Last but not least, she should carry a Red Sheep with her. This could be in terms of a toy, or key chain, or some kind of ornament. Why Red Sheep? Because Red Sheep represents Fire Sheep. As I mentioned earlier, the Fire Sheep year is the best year in terms of romance luck for her. I hope Jeannie will find Mr. Right soon.

Where Do I Stand in This Relationship?
Many people have been quite curious about how I do a love compatibility test. Some of them asked me about the technical aspect of it. In this article, I will share with you how you can determine where you stand in a relationship just based on you and your partner's birth dates.
From your birth dates, you can determine whether you are the upper hand or lower hand, and when are the ups and downs of your relationship. You will learn how long will your upper hand or lower hand status last and how you could minimize the down times of your relationship.
Recently, a client asked me this question "Where Do I Stand In This Relationship?", which is the title of this article. I will use her case as a case study to help you understand Chinese astrology and love compatibility better. But in order to protect her, I will not be using her real name. Before I begin, let me list out all their information below. . .

Year Pillar: Wood Ox (Earth)

From the information above, Ann went through 5 years of Fire from 2004 to 2008. Fire is Andy's favorable element. But since the element of Water is extremely strong in Andy's pillars (due to Metal strengthening Water), the Fire in his luck pillar (2004 to 2008) is not enough.
Here is where Ann's Fire pillar comes into play. Ann's Fire pillar helps to reduce the strong Water and Metal in Andy's pillars. From both their luck pillars, Andy needs Ann's Fire more than Ann needs Andy's Fire (Both of them went through a Fire pillar from 2004 to 2008). This explains why Ann has the upper hand from 2004 to 2008, as Andy needs her more than she needs him.
Looking at the next luck pillars, Ann's next luck pillar is Water, which is from 2009 to 2013. Andy's next luck pillar is still Fire. Ann's Water luck pillar is not favorable to Andy. Andy needs Fire instead of Water. This means than Andy will start losing interest in Ann from 2009 onwards.
How about Ann?Will she also start losing interest in Andy?The answer is yes. Water can already be found in her luck pillar. She no longer needs the Water in Andy's pillars. She will be self-sufficient in terms of the Water element. So what's the conclusion here?
My analysis is that the relationship might end off after Ann's 24th birthday in 2009. Both parties will part on a good note, as both will start drifting away from each other. But if Ann really wants the relationship to go on, is there anything she can do?The answer is yes.
As long as she is able to increase the effect of Fire during their outings, she will still stand a chance of making the relationship go on. My suggestion will be to wear more Fire colors like Red, Orange or Purple. To go for movies (Fire activity) or BBQ. Any activities related to light or fire is highly encouraged. Going for a suntan on the beach is also a good way to increase the effect of Fire.

Aries, Leo and Sagittarius are Fire signs, while Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn are Earth signs.The Air signs consist of Gemini, Libra and Aquarius.Last but not least, the Water signs are Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces.What you have always heard of is that signs belonging to the same element get along best.
For example, Aries and Leo are very compatible because they are both Fire signs.However, this theory is going to change when it comes to the new formula.You will understand why...
In Chinese astrology, the 12 signs are also divided into 4 groups, each group consisting of 3 signs.Although each sign represents an element, the 3 signs of each group can combine to form another element.The signs of each group are considered to be very compatible with each other.Chinese astrology consists of 5 elements, namely Metal, Wood, Fire, Water and Earth.

From the above information, you can conclude that the 3 Air Signs in Western Astrology represent the 3 Water Signs (combine to form Water) in Chinese Astrology.The 3 Water Signs in Western Astrology represent the 3 Wood Signs (combine to form Wood) in Chinese Astrology, while the 3 Fire Signs represent the 3 Fire Signs (combine to form Fire) in Chinese Astrology.Lastly, the 3 Earth Signs in Western Astrology represent the 3 Metal Signs (combine to form Metal) in Chinese Astrology.
In Chinese Astrology, the cycle of production states that Metal produces Water while Wood produces Fire.Using this theory, the new formula states that the 3 Air Signs represented by Water are the most compatible with the 3 Earth Signs represented by Metal, as Metal produces Water. On the other hand, the 3 Water Signs represented by Wood, are the most compatible with the 3 Fire Signs represented by Fire, as Wood produces Fire.
