Initially, I planned to name this article "Where Did My Good Luck Go? ". But that sounded quite negative, as the information you are about to learn can go both ways. However, in the end, I hope that this will help you understand why a seemingly lucky period can be unlucky and vice versa.
Once you understand why, you will be able to more accurately determine how is your luck cycle like, and how to take steps to improve it. So let's begin. . .
A few weeks ago, a friend who just learnt some basic astrology came to me. He told me according to what he learnt, his favorable element was Fire, and that currently, he is going through a Fire period. The next 5 years was a Fire period for him according to his luck pillars. This means that his luck cycle should be good and things should be working out smoothly for him.
But. . .
It is the opposite. He is going through obstacle after obstacle. He got into trouble at his workplace because he was back stabbed. At home, he has problems with his wife. This period, he seems to be quarreling more with her.
I asked him for his date and hour of birth, so that I could determine what was the problem. He was born in December. It is true that his favorable element was Fire and Water was unfavorable to him. It is also correct to say that he is indeed going through a Fire period.
So what was the problem?
I soon found out why. It is true that he was going through a Fire period, but that Fire was represented by Snake. He was going through a Snake luck pillar. However, Snake can combine with Monkey to form Water. Indeed, there was Monkey in his 4 pillars, as well as Water in one of the Heavenly Stems. When this happens, the Snake becomes Water instead of Fire.
This explains why his luck cycle was down. His favorable element became his unfavorable element. This is a slightly more advanced stage of Chinese Astrology, where the elements can change. But in order for the elements to change, a condition must be met. If this condition is not met, then the elements will remain as they are and not change.
For my friend's case, if there was no Water in any of his Heavenly Stems, then his luck cycle will be very smooth, instead of what he is going through now. In the next section, I will list out for you which are the set of animals which can combine and form a different element, as well as the condition that is needed for the transformation.
With this information in hand, you will be able to have a better grasp of your luck cycle. Here goes. . .
Rat (Water) and Ox (Earth) combine to form Earth, if Earth is present in the Heavenly Stems.
Tiger (Wood) and Pig (Water) combine to form Wood, if Wood is present in the Heavenly Stems.
Rabbit (Wood) and Dog (Earth) combine to form Fire, if Fire is present in the Heavenly Stems.
Dragon (Earth) and Rooster (Metal) combine to form Metal, if Metal is present in the Heavenly Stems.
Snake (Fire) and Monkey (Metal) combine to form Water, if Water is present in the Heavenly Stems.
Horse (Fire) and Sheep (Earth) combine to form Fire, if Fire is present in the Heavenly Stems.
As you can see, this can work for you as well as work against you. It can turn unfavorable elements favorable, as well as the other way round, depending on each individual. Usually, when an unfavorable element turns favorable, it can mean that you encountered a challenge, but in the end, you benefited tremendously from it.

Why Did Obama Win And Not McCain? - From An Astrology Point Of View
From an chinese astrology point of view,what made Obama win?After doing a research on their chinese 8 characters,I found some interesting discoveries...
Before I go into that,I have a confession to make.This calculation was done after the election.I worked backwards basing on Obama's and McCain's chinese 8 characters.This was not done to prove that I am great in foretelling the future,but rather,as a research to discover the secrets hidden behind the chinese 8 characters.
Let's begin with Obama's chinese 8 characters.Obama was born on 4th August 1961.His 8 characters are as follows:
Year Pillar:Metal Ox(Earth)
Month Pillar:Wood Sheep(Earth)
Day Pillar:Earth Snake(Fire)
Hour Pillar:Unknown
From Obama's 8 characters,you can see that he is a very strong Earth person.There are 2 Earths and 1 Fire.Fire produces Earth,which makes his Earth element very strong.In order for you to be a leader(high ranking person) or a rich man,one of the first pre-requisites is that your personal element must be strong.
Your personal element refers to the element of your day pillar.When your personal element is strong,you will gain status and power when your luck pillar is your career/power element.Which in Obama's case is Wood.
When your personal element is strong,you will gain wealth(money luck) when your luck pillar is your wealth element.In Obama's case,it is Water.
Let's look at Obama's luck pillars below...
Age 9-18:Wood Horse(Fire)
Age 19-28:Water Snake(Fire) ->There is Water present,meaning to say that during this 10 years,he got married and started earning his first pay.
Age 29-38:Water Dragon(Earth) ->There is still Water,meaning that there is also wealth luck during this period.Earth is the same element as his personal element.In this case,since he is already strong in his personal element,this Earth is unfavorable to him.For this case,it can mean that he faced a lot of competition during this period.
Age 39-48:Metal Rabbit(Wood) ->There is Metal and Wood.The last 5 years(Age 44-48) of the luck pillar is Wood,which is his career/status/fame element.This year,2008,he is 47 years old,which is the year he is elected as president.
Basing on this information,from 2005,Obama has already been gaining fame and power,as from Age 44(Year 2005),he is going through 5 years of Wood in his luck pillar.
After analysing his luck pillars,let's look at the elements of 2008.2008 is the Earth Rat year.Rat represents Water.For this case,the first half of 2008 is represented by Earth,while the second half is represented by Water.

Comparing his luck pillars and Obama's luck pillars,both of them are currently at the Rabbit(Wood) pillar.Obama is at a better position as Wood is his career/status/fame element.McCain's career/status/fame element is Earth.He might have stood a higher chance if he is currently going through an Earth pillar.
Looking at the other perspective,this year,2008 is the year of the Earth Rat.The elements of this year are Earth and Water(Rat represents Water).The first half of the year is under the influence of Earth while the second half is under the influence of Water.
Although Earth is McCain's career/status/fame element,the unfortunate thing is that the election is held in the second half of the year,which is under the influence of Water.Water is unfavorable to McCain,but very favorable to Obama.

Here's an example...If you are born in Winter,you have a lot of Water and very little Fire in your 8 characters.Whenever you encounter years,months or luck pillars with Water,your luck cycle will be down.Only when you encounter periods(i.e. years,months or luck pillars) of Fire,then your luck cycle will be good.
On the other side of the coin,someone born in Summer has a lot of Fire.Fire is unfavorable while Water is favorable.You have the Water this person needs while he/she has the Fire you need.In this relationship,you can balance each other out.
However,when you are going through a Fire luck pillar,your relationship with this person will not be as close.Reason is because you already have the Fire you need in the luck pillar.Similarly,if he/she is going through a Water luck pillar,he/she will not be as close to you because the Water already exists in the luck pillar.
In short,people are together because one party has elements that the other party needs.When the balance of the elements is not there,they start splitting up.Look at some relationships in your life.Some of them last for 5 years,while others might last for 10 years.
